Safety and Trust

Yes, when you combine platform tools with good vetting. KingdomCare profiles include experience, skills, reviews, and optional background check badges. Best practices: review profiles, look for CPR/First Aid, background checks, and use in‑app booking and payments.

Background checks are optional for sitters. If completed, a badge appears on the profile. Parents can filter for sitters with verified checks and prioritize them, or request that they obtain one.

Many are. Certifications appear on profiles when provided. You can filter for CPR/First Aid and confirm during messaging.

Ask the sitter for 2–3 references (past families, church leaders, ministry or volunteer supervisors) and follow up with specific questions about reliability, communication, and safety.

Guidance varies by state and by a child’s maturity. Check local guidelines and use discretion based on your child’s needs and the sitter’s experience.

Faith and Fit

Yes, use profile details and filters to find like‑minded sitters. Discuss faith practices (prayer, devotionals, expectations) during messaging. See: Denomination Information

If that’s important to you, share your preferences when booking. Sitters aim to respect each family’s wishes and routines.

Booking, Pricing, and Payments

Rates vary by city, number of children, timing (weeknights vs. weekends), and duties. A recent national snapshot puts average babysitting rates roughly in the teens to mid‑20s USD per hour, with large metros often higher. Confirm the rate in messaging before booking.

Sitters set their own rates. You’ll see their expected rate on their profile or can discuss it directly in messages.

Book your sitter through KingdomCare and pay online, simple, secure, and all in one place.

Tipping is optional. Many families tip for exceptional service, late nights, or last‑minute bookings. You may add a gratuity at your discretion.

Because sitters are independent, cancellation expectations are set between you and the sitter. Best practice: agree on notice windows (e.g., 24–48 hours) in messages before you book.

Care Details

Sitters list the ages they’re comfortable caring for, from infants to teens. Filter for your needs and confirm details in messages.

Many can. Look for relevant experience and certifications on profiles, and share clear instructions (meds, allergies, EpiPen/first‑aid steps) before booking.

Yes, filter by availability and send a detailed request (date, hours, number/ages of kids, rate, key needs) to expedite responses.

Parents can make a public post on the job board which will give them more exposure. The sitters can then search the job board by region and reach out to the parents.

Organizations such as a church or Youth Group can sign up and make a post on the job board regarding an upcoming event that would require sitters.
